The Zip HydroTap Celsius Arc chosen for new Purelake luxury London development
When it comes to specifying the best of the best, Leicht Contracts know from experience that design and accreditation go hand in hand.
The high-end, German kitchen manufacturer was commissioned to design and supply nine luxury kitchens for Purelake Group’s latest development project, Park View Mews in Lee, South East London. The top-spec three and four bedroom townhouses are finished to the highest of standards throughout, meaning the custom-designed kitchens needed to boast the latest and greatest appliances, fit for a modern family home.
Sarah Edwards, Sales Director at Leicht Contracts, approached the Zip team in 2019 while on the hunt for a premium tap brand that – on top of matching the top design spec needed for the high-end kitchens – could provide WRAS approved products. “When preparing the specification for this project, we were looking to achieve a classy, timeless and quality range of products that would assist the end user in their daily lives”, explains Sarah. “The decision to include a Zip HydroTap was hugely driven by the fact that the systems are WRAS approved. It is a requirement that any taps in new build developments have WRAS approval, having learnt many years ago the hard way that this is vital to the site’s water services being connected”.
As well providing this must-have accreditation – something other residential taps on the market could not – we were also able to meet expectations on functionality and aesthetics. Leicht Contracts specified nine HydroTap Celsius Arcs in matt black, that will provide the residents with instant filtered boiling water, plus unfiltered hot and cold for washing up. “We were able to colour match the on trend matt black HydroTap to certain elements of the kitchen furniture, which created a stylish and attractive scheme”, added Sarah. The Zip HydroTap fits seamlessly nestled among the quartz worktops, built-in Bosch appliances and custom-made handleless cupboards.
